AICS Sensors
Zigbee Based Automated Irrigation Control System. Comprises of KAD Gateway, Gateway Back up, Gate Value Controller, Solar powered Soil Moisture/Temperature Sensors, Motor Control Unit, Flow Sensor Modules. Solar Powered Gate Valve Controller, Gateway and MCU. Application runs Directly on the Gateway and hence decision making done locally. Gateway Acts as Hotspot for farmer to connect and modify configuration or control the irrigation process. Optional GSM module to push data to cloud and for remote control, if needed.
Soil Moisture/ Temperature Sensors
Soil moisture plays an important role in the life of plants. Water helps in controlling plant temperature through transpiration. Plant root systems develop better with optimal soil moisture levels. Smart soil moisture sensor is a solar powered digital soil tester which measures.
Benefits
It uses a capacitive soil moisture sensor (offers more durability than resistive one) and an NTC thermistor. This module can give real time information on when plants need watering by assessing how moist the soil is in the pot, garden, or yard. It can be used with smart agriculture/watering systems to fully automate the irrigation control system.

Gate Valve Control
In large farms flow of water to different parts of the farm is controlled by values which are generally called a gate valve. This will ensure that there is enough pressure in the pipeline enabling water to reach the farthest areas of a farm.
